Creative Strategy & Concepting
Concepts built from customer reviews, support tickets and competitor teardowns, organised into named angles you can track performance against over time.
A creative production line built around a Canadian calendar, where the assets for October have to exist by August.
Delivered remotely for brands across Toronto and Canada.
Since targeting moved inside the algorithm, creative carries it — and a Toronto brand needs more of it than a single-market brand does. Every winning angle has to exist twice — once for a Canadian viewer who may already know the brand and once for an American viewer meeting it cold — and for a lot of GTA catalogues a third time in French. That is not three times the budget if the production is planned as one batch with variants, and it is three times the budget if each version gets briefed separately as an emergency in month nine.
The calendar is the other constraint, and it is unforgiving here. Cold-weather categories cannot shoot their season during their season: the assets that run in November are photographed in March or April, which means briefing a minus-twenty concept in spring against a product sample and a mood board. Miss that window and you spend your peak running last year's assets while your CPMs climb, or you shoot in a hurry in October and it looks it.
Everything else runs as a production line. Angles mined from your reviews, support tickets and post-purchase surveys rather than from a brainstorm. Static, motion and UGC in the ratios each platform needs. Named hooks and structured variants so results roll up by concept instead of by file name. One team shoots the product photography and builds the page content, so an ad and the page behind it stop reading as two different brands — which for a cross-border store is not a polish issue, it is the difference between an American clicking through and bouncing on a page that feels like a different company.
There is a narrow, real logistics problem in this city that shapes the whole creative year. Authentic cold-weather content — breath in the air, salt on boots, actual snow on a Queen West sidewalk — can only be captured for a few months, and it is needed for campaigns that run six to nine months later. Brands that plan for it bank a winter library in January and February for the following autumn. Brands that do not either fake it badly with a studio backdrop or shoot in a panic in December when the product is already selling. We build the annual calendar backwards from the selling season: winter capture in Q1, spring and summer batches shot on rolling cadence, and creator content sourced continuously because UGC has no seasonal lead time and can plug a gap that a studio shoot cannot. The same principle covers the French and US variants of each concept, which get produced inside the batch rather than commissioned later at a premium.
The same standard of work we run for every client — applied to a Toronto brand’s realities.
Full service detailConcepts built from customer reviews, support tickets and competitor teardowns, organised into named angles you can track performance against over time.
Twenty to forty static, motion and UGC assets a month in the aspect ratios each platform needs, structured for hook, format and angle testing.
Creator briefing, sourcing and management for authentic testimonial, unboxing and demo content, with usage rights secured for paid media.
Studio and lifestyle shoots covering PDP galleries, scale references, detail shots and the in-context imagery collection pages need to sell.
Product descriptions, collection copy, landing pages and email design written against the same positioning as the ads driving traffic to them.
Results rolled up by concept, hook and format so you learn which angles work, not just which files did. Winners get iterated, losers get retired.
We do not work off a rate card. Every Toronto engagement starts with a fixed statement of work — named deliverables, named dates, one number — written after we have looked at your store, not before. If a smaller first step would serve you better, we will say so.
Get this scopedWe read your reviews, support tickets and post-purchase survey responses. The best hooks are already written by your customers in their own words.
Customer language becomes five to eight named angles, each with a clear promise and objection to answer. Angles get tested before production scales.
Studio shoots, creator content and motion design produced in monthly batches so cost per asset drops as volume rises.
Assets ship into a structured testing calendar with consistent naming, so performance can be read by concept and hook rather than by ad ID.
Winning angles get new hooks, formats and cuts. Fatigued assets get refreshed before performance decays instead of after.
“Same four ads had been running since January and our CPMs climbed every month we left them up. They shipped about thirty assets in the first month, and the part that mattered was the tagging — we could finally read performance by angle instead of by file name. Fitment anxiety beat every discount ad we have ever run. We would not have guessed that in a hundred brainstorms.”
Thirty minutes with the strategist who would actually run your account. We screen-share your store, read your data live, and tell you the three highest-value things we can see from the outside.
