Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and how to make us delete it.

The short version

We collect the details you type into our contact form, plus basic analytics about how this site is used. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a form.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include — your store URL, city, revenue band and message. We use it to answer you and to prepare for a call. Nothing more.

Information collected automatically. Standard web-server and analytics data: pages viewed, referring URL, approximate region, device and browser type, and time on page. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies and similar technologies. One item of browser storage is set by the site itself — your light/dark theme preference. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. We also load Google Tag Manager, which runs our measurement tags and sets analytics cookies so repeat visits can be recognised as the same session. If you submit the contact form we record that a submission happened, along with the service you picked from the dropdown and whatever you typed in the city field, truncated. Your name, email address, phone number, store URL and message are never passed to any analytics provider.

You can block all of this with any mainstream ad or tracker blocker, or by declining cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For enquiry data, our lawful basis is the steps taken at your request before entering a contract. For analytics, it is our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works. If you would rather we held nothing at all, do not send the form — email us instead and ask us to delete the thread when we are done.

Who else sees it

Google, as our analytics and tag-management provider, receives the automatic browsing data described above. Our email provider receives your enquiry, and if a project starts, so do our project-management tools. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share your enquiry with any third party for their own marketing.

Two font services also see your IP address, because your browser fetches our typefaces from them on every page: Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry) and Google Fonts. They receive no other information from us, and we do not control what they log. This is a normal consequence of loading a webfont from a CDN rather than something we ask them to do.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Client records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years, because tax law requires it. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines that term.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data lives in access-controlled accounts with multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
