Why Cincinnati brands come to us for this

  • Reshooting packaging for a thumbnail-sized feed, not for a retailer portal or a shelf-set render
  • Demonstration and texture footage that shows what a shopper cannot judge without holding the pack
  • Process and production-floor content shot within your co-packer's confidentiality and food-safety rules
  • Local creator sourcing using real Cincinnati kitchens, markets and homes instead of studio abstraction
  • One batched production day engineered to feed several months of ad, PDP and email assets

Most Cincinnati brands already own a large photography library, and almost none of it works in an ad. It was commissioned for trade sell sheets, retailer portals and shelf-set renders: pack straight on, white background, label perfectly legible at print resolution. Those are the right images for a vendor form and the wrong images for a feed, where the product is the size of a thumbnail, the scroll speed is brutal and the job of the first frame is to stop somebody, not to be legible.

Performance creative for this category leans on a strength these brands have and rarely use. The product does something. It foams, pours, dissolves, spreads, sprays, sizzles, wipes clean. Demonstration is the highest-yielding format we produce for consumables, followed by comparison, then origin and process footage from a real production floor, then creator and customer content. Each of those is a repeatable format rather than a one-off shoot, which is what makes a monthly cadence economically sensible.

The work also has to serve the store, not just the ad account. Product pages need pack-in-hand scale shots, texture and ingredient macros, size comparison frames, and usage sequences that answer the questions a shopper would resolve by picking the box up. Copy is part of the same job: descriptions written around approved claims, structured so the page hierarchy matches the carton hierarchy, and reusable across the feed, the email programme and the marketplace listings you probably also maintain.

Producing here without pretending we live here

We run production remotely from Albuquerque and coordinate on the ground in Greater Cincinnati, which we would rather describe accurately than dress up. In practice that means we brief and direct local creators and photographers, or we shoot in batches when we travel out, and we design shot lists so a single production day yields several months of assets rather than one campaign. The city makes this easier than most: there is a deep bench of packaging and product photographers left over from decades of consumer goods work, food stylists who have worked on national accounts, and a real supply of usable locations — production floors in West Chester and Blue Ash, market stalls downtown, kitchens and taprooms in Over-the-Rhine, and residential interiors in Oakley and Hyde Park that read as ordinary American homes rather than as a set. Facility access is the constraint worth planning for, since a co-packer will have confidentiality and food-safety rules that decide what a camera can point at.

Scope

What Creative & Content includes

The same standard of work we run for every client — applied to a Cincinnati brand’s realities.

Full service detail
01

Creative Strategy & Concepting

Concepts built from customer reviews, support tickets and competitor teardowns, organised into named angles you can track performance against over time.

02

Monthly Ad Creative Volume

Twenty to forty static, motion and UGC assets a month in the aspect ratios each platform needs, structured for hook, format and angle testing.

03

UGC & Creator Sourcing

Creator briefing, sourcing and management for authentic testimonial, unboxing and demo content, with usage rights secured for paid media.

04

Product & Lifestyle Photography

Studio and lifestyle shoots covering PDP galleries, scale references, detail shots and the in-context imagery collection pages need to sell.

05

Store Content & Copy

Product descriptions, collection copy, landing pages and email design written against the same positioning as the ads driving traffic to them.

06

Creative Performance Reporting

Results rolled up by concept, hook and format so you learn which angles work, not just which files did. Winners get iterated, losers get retired.

Scoped and quoted for your Cincinnati store

We do not work off a rate card. Every Cincinnati engagement starts with a fixed statement of work — named deliverables, named dates, one number — written after we have looked at your store, not before. If a smaller first step would serve you better, we will say so.

How it runs

From kickoff to results

01

Voice-of-Customer Mining

We read your reviews, support tickets and post-purchase survey responses. The best hooks are already written by your customers in their own words.

02

Angle Development

Customer language becomes five to eight named angles, each with a clear promise and objection to answer. Angles get tested before production scales.

03

Production

Studio shoots, creator content and motion design produced in monthly batches so cost per asset drops as volume rises.

04

Test & Learn

Assets ship into a structured testing calendar with consistent naming, so performance can be read by concept and hook rather than by ad ID.

05

Iterate the Winners

Winning angles get new hooks, formats and cuts. Fatigued assets get refreshed before performance decays instead of after.

Clients on this work

-24% cost per acquisition

“Same four ads had been running since January and our CPMs climbed every month we left them up. They shipped about thirty assets in the first month, and the part that mattered was the tagging — we could finally read performance by angle instead of by file name. Fitment anxiety beat every discount ad we have ever run. We would not have guessed that in a hundred brainstorms.”

FAQ

Creative & Content in Cincinnati — your questions

Some of it, usually as a starting point rather than a finished asset. Clean pack cutouts are useful for feeds, catalogue ads and comparison frames, and high-resolution label shots help with ingredient detail. What almost never survives is the hero lifestyle set, because it was composed for print proportions and print viewing distance. We audit the library first and only shoot what genuinely does not exist.

Sometimes, and it is worth pursuing because that footage is unusually persuasive. It depends entirely on the co-packer's agreement — other clients' product on the line, proprietary equipment and food-safety access rules all restrict what can be filmed. We ask early, work from a shot list they approve in advance, and have a fallback plan so the shoot day is not wasted if approval narrows at the last minute.

We do, remotely, with a detailed shot list, reference frames and live review during the shoot. Local photographers and creators execute, and we sign off frames as they come in rather than after the fact. For higher-stakes production days we travel out. The arrangement works because the specification is written before anyone arrives, which is also true of shoots where the agency is standing behind the camera.

Yes, and it is more efficient when the same brief covers both. Copy gets drafted against your approved claim library so nothing needs a second compliance round, structured to mirror the carton hierarchy, and written once for reuse across the product page, the Merchant Center feed, email and any marketplace listings. Images and words disagreeing with each other is one of the more common conversion leaks we find.

At $50,000 monthly spend, twenty to thirty tested assets is a sensible floor. Above $200,000 you want forty or more. The right number is whatever keeps a fresh concept entering testing before the current winner fatigues, which is typically every ten to fourteen days.

Both, and they do different jobs. Studio work covers PDP imagery, hero assets and anything needing controlled lighting or brand consistency. Creator content covers testimonial, demo and unboxing formats where polish actually reduces performance.

Yes, and we will flag where they conflict with performance. Guidelines written for print and packaging often forbid the text density and hook framing that in-feed video needs. We usually agree a documented paid-media extension of the brand system in week one.
